Times of Zambia – Cervical Cancer Screening Training Coming
GOVERNMENT says it is in the process of training medical personnel countrywide with simple techniques in cervical cancer screening.
Community Development, Mother and Child Health Minister Joseph Katema said all medical personnel would be trained with simple techniques in cervical cancer screening.
He said in an interview that the training of medical personnel would enable Government open up more centres in all the districts countrywide.
“Plans to open up more cancer centres in all the districts in the country are underway. So far we have only rolled out the services to provincial centres due to shortage of medical personnel who are specialised in cancer screening.
