Research Scholar Katundu Katundu Receives Novartis Next Generation Scientist Internship

Last Tuesday, African Centre of Excellence for Women’s Cancer Control Research Scholar Katundu Katundu was awarded the Novartis Next Generation Scientist Internship. The Novartis Next Generation Scientist Program is intended to support talented and motivated post-graduate students through 3 month-long internships in Basel, Switzerland. The program runs from June to September and interns work on a jointly-agreed upon, pre-competitive scientific or clinical research project. Among others, the program provides an opportunity to enrich student’s training by: getting hands-on experience with pioneering biomedical research technologies, scientific capabilities through seminars, journal club, discussion forums, and networking with other Novartis academic collaborators.
